Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Rise To 26,484 With Highest Daily Toll Of 790

Nigeria has recorded 790 new cases of the coronavirus disease, COVID-19.

This is the highest daily toll recorded since the index case was confirmed on February 27, 2020.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made the announcement via its Twitter handle late Wednesday night.

According to the NCDC, in the last 24 hours, 406 patients were discharged after their recovery from the disease.

However, 13 new deaths were also recorded across the country.

According to the centre, Delta recorded the highest number of cases on Wednesday with 166.

Also, Lagos recorded 120 new cases, while Enugu recorded 66 new cases.

Others are FCT-65, Edo-60, Ogun-43, Kano-41, Kaduna-39, Ondo-33, Rivers-32, Bayelsa-29, Katsina-21, Imo-20, Kwara-18, Oyo-11, Abia-10, Benue-6, Gombe-4, Yobe-2, Bauchi-2, Kebbi-2.

So far, a total of 26,484 cases of the disease has been confirmed in Nigeria.
