Alhaja Bejide Olanusi, wife of Alhaji Ali Olanusi Bejide, a former deputy governor of Ondo State, is dead.
Thelagostimes gathered that the deceased died in Akure, having complained of stress and was taken to an hospital. She reportedly died ahead of her husband’s planned birthday celebration.
She was aged 77.
In a statement by the party’s state Publicity Secretary, Mr Alex Kalejaiye, the state chapter of the APC has commiserated with the Olanusi’s family over the incident.
The statement read, “The state chairman of the party, Ade Adetimehin, described the sad development as ill-timed, shocking and unfortunate. He said Alhaja was a strong pillar behind the husband’s political success story.
“The party chairman urged Baba Olanusi, the bereaved families, and entire Supare community in Akoko South West Local Government to take solace in the fact that the departed lived a worthy and fulfilled life.”
