In recognition of her promotion of African tradition, culture and heritage beyond the shores of the continent, Arole of Oodua, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (Ojaja11), Ooni of Ife, has appointed Princess Latifat Wuraola Momodu, a prominent Nigerian and international fashion designer and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Revissant International Limited, as the Heritage Ambassador of the Olokun Legacy.
In a letter dated March 13, 2018 and signed by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Ogunwusi said, “the appointment makes her the official representative of the Olokun Legacy and it empoweres her to seek strategic partnership and collaborations and also, generates and designs activations that will promote and sustain the iconic legacies of Olokun”.
The official presentation of the staff of office was performed on Saturday, April 28, 2018 by the Ooni.
Prominent dignitaries from within Nigeria and outside the shores of the country, such as Cuba, Brazil, France, US, Republic of Benin, Togo, Trinidad and Tobago and as well as traditional rulers, graced the colourful occasion.
