He explained that in line with the advocacy programme conducted by the OTCI to enlighten Public Servants on the need to change from a “Fixed to a Growth Mindset”, MDAs were mandated to nominate officers who have the ability to take ownership of the training and put it into practice at the MDA Level. .
The Director-General stated that the training programme for all public servants has been phased into 50 sessions and encouraged participants to have a positive attitude that will make them identify the benefits of adopting a Growth Mindset in every area of their lives.
“As leaders, your responsibility does not start or end with you, but with those coming after you, therefore the need to be more efficient and effective in the discharge of your duties cannot be over-emphasised,” he said.
While commending the level of articulation and the impressive personalities of Public Servants that form the first batch of trainees, Otusanya charged them to always be punctual at work and do something meaningful each day to realise the objective of the training.
The two-day train-the-trainers programme, attended by over 200 participants, was held at the Public Service Staff Development Centre (PSSDC), Magodo.
