As the Muslims faithful sighted moon on Sunday to commence 30 days fasting, a member of Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Gbolahan Yishawu has appealed to Nigerians to pray for Nigeria and the public office holders.

He stated this on Monday in his Ramadan Message to the Muslims faithful both in Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole.

Yishawu who is representing Eti-Osa constituency 2 and chairman House Committee on Budget and Economic Planning congratulates Muslims for witnessing another Ramadan on the land of the living.

“We thank Almighty Allah for his protection and for the privilege to see this special month. I charge us all to use this holy month to pray for our dear country and the leaders starting from our President, Muhammadu Buhari to others.

“The holy book also say we must pray for our country and seek her peace. It is also important for us to remember our leaders in our prayer in order for them to direct us in the way of Almighty Allah”, he said.

He therefore wishes Muslims and those in his Constituency in particular Ramadan Kareem.

“May we witness more of it in sound health and receive bountiful rewards in the Holy Month”, he prayed.

Ramadan is regarded as one of the five pillars of Islam and the 29-30 days based on the visual sightings of the crescent moon, according to numerous biographical accounts compiled in hadiths.
