Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal on Tuesday, announced the death of three, out of the ten people, that tested positive to the dreaded Coronavirus pandemic in the state.
Tambuwal disclosed this in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs, Malam Muhammad Bello.
Bello in the statement wrote, “Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state has announced the death of three people as a result of the COVID-19 infection.
“All the three victims, according to the governor had a history of other diseases such as diabetes, asthma and high blood pressure.”
It would be recalled that Sokoto recorded it index case on April 19th. The second case was discovered on April 23rd, while results of eight, out of the twenty people tested, who had contact with the index case, turned out positive on April 26th.
