Nigeria’s Super Eagles are now in the semi-finals of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) after defeating Angola today.
Thelagostimes gathered that a lone goal from Ademola Lookman gave Nigeria the lead and victory.
In the 41st minute, Lookman directed a pass from Moses Simon into the back of the net to score the only goal of the game, making Nigeria qualify for the next stage of the competition.
During the game, Victor Osimhen secured a second goal. However, it was disallowed for offside by VAR.
The Super Eagles’ next opponents will be either South Africa or Cape Verde. South Africa and Cape Verde will face each other in their quarter-final clash on Saturday.
