Dr Ramon Adedoyin, the owner of Hiltons Hotel, Ile-Ife, and six others arrested in connection with the death of a Masters student of Obafemi Awolowo University, Timothy Adegoke, have appeared before the court.
Thelagostimes gathered that the defendants were due to appear at court 1, where Osun state Chief Judge, Adepele Ojo, would preside over the matter.
Armed security personnel and some plain-clothed security men, suspected to be operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) were on the ground to forestall any unforeseen circumstances.

Adegoke, who had since been buried, had arrived Ile-Ife to write his examination and lodged in the hotel before meeting his death.
