A woman has been reportedly killed after a truck crushed her at First Gate bus stop along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway on Thursday.
According to reports, the truck veered off the road and climbed the curb, where the woman, a beggar was sitting.
A trader whose business is close to the scene of the accident revealed that some transport workers who wanted to collect money from the truck driver made him veer off the road.
The trader added that the truck has been evacuated into the compound of the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency while the body of the woman has been moved too.
In a related development, a commercial motorcyclist was crushed to death in an accident involving a Toyota Highlander SUV and his motorcycle on the same expressway.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the motorcyclist was trying to make a U-turn when he was crushed by the black SUV, coming from Lagos to Badagry.
