Two people have been confirmed dead in a helicopter crash that occurred at Opebi area of Lagos state on Friday.
Thelagostimes had earlier reported that the helicopter crashed into a building at Opebi area, off Salvation Road, Lagos at about 12:15PM.
According to a Tweet by Gboyega Akosile, the Chief Press Secretary to Lagos state governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, two people were confirmed dead while one was badly injured in the crash.
His tweet reads: “There’s been a helicopter crash in a private house at Opebi area of Lagos. Two people confirmed dead, 1 person badly wounded and has been taken to the hospital. The dead bodies have been deposited at the mortuary. The Lagos State Emergency services are on ground”.
Meanwhile, a Twitter user, @simisola_gold1 posted a video of the rescue team and the dead victims.
