Yuletide: Foundation Supports Over 300 Lagos Widows

The founder of Lawrence Grace Foundation, Oluyinka Adewoye has urged Nigerians to always spare a thought for the vulnerable among us, especially the widows and the indigent children.

Adewoye, a successful banker with passion for helping the less privilege in the society disclosed that the hands of love we wrap round these poor widows and indigent children go a long way to assuage their pains while giving them assurance of a better tomorrow.

She disclosed this recently at a programme held to give support to over 300 widows and indigent children selected across some Community Development Associations in Lagos.

Adewoye said that the programme, which had been running for three years, is to significantly impact lives of the widow and indigent children, alleviate their poverty and pains while putting smiles on their faces.

She added that the foundation was primarily set up to touch lives positively, reach out to majorly widows and indigent school children in less privilege societies by providing them with free healthcare, empowerment programs and food stuff to support them for a qualitative living.

Adewoye said: “today is a special day to celebrate and put smiles on the faces of over 300 widows from various communities in Lagos.We have Agiliti CDA, Masha Small London CDA, Oshodi – Isolo CDA, Bariga CDA, Ifelodun/Unity CDA, Makoko CDA represented here with their widows”.

She applauded all that have been supporting the noble cause of the foundation, pledging that the NGO will remain committed to pursuing efforts tailored towards uplifting humanity.

The widows were later treated to lots of fun-filled activities to celebrate and put smiles on their faces, while food items among other gifts were also distributed to them to make the Christmas celebration a memorable one.
