Bandits Attack Katsina Mosque, Abduct 40 Worshippers
Hoodlums suspected to be bandits have attacked a Mosque in Kwata, Jibia Local Government Area of Kastina State.
It was gathered that the incident happened around 12 am in Kwata, Jibia Local Government Area of the state during the Laylatul Qadr prayer.
They reportedly abducted over 40 worshippers during the attack.
The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Gambo Ishaka told DAILY POST correspondent that 30 of the abductees have been rescued by the joint security operatives.
According to the PPRO, the whereabout of the remaining ten is still uncertain. He however said rescue operation is still ongoing.
He added that the military and police are after these hoodlums, as they found out that they are heading towards Ambe and Tumburun in Zamfara State which is their hideout.
Meanwhile, no life was lost during the attack.
