Delta and Katsina state have joined the list of states affected by the coronavirus pandemic, this is as the country confirmed sixteen fresh coronavirus patients.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control disclosed this on Monday in its daily situation report of COVID-19 on its official twitter page.

Ten of the sixteen fresh cases are confirmed in Lagos, two in Abuja, two in Oyo while Delta and Katsina recorded their index cases — one each, brings the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 254.

According to NCDC, 44 of the 254 patients have recovered from the disease and discharged while six death as been recorded.
