The Peoples Democratic Party has named Senator Ibrahim Dambaba (Sokoto South) as the new Senate Minority Whip.

He replaced Senator Sahabi Yau from Zamfara State, who defected to the All Progressives Congress recently.

The Senate President, Ahmad Lawan read a letter appointing Danbaba to the position on the floor of the Senate.

The letter was signed by the National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ibrahim Tsuari.
