Nigerian filmmaker and founder of the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), Peace Anyiam-Osigwe is dead.

Thelagostimes gathered that she died in a hospital in Lagos State.

It was reported that Ayiam-Osigwe, who was also the President of the Association of Movie Producers was in a coma before her death.

According to ThisDay, Nollywood filmmaker, Zik Zulu confirmed the news on a Nollywood platform.

“Our President, Peace, has passed. As of Saturday, she was reported to be in a coma at Saint Nicholas. But now her family has confirmed her transition. May the memory of her life be a blessing. Rest in peace, dear Peace”, he wrote.
