BREAKING: Fire Razes Shops At Apongbon Market (VIDEO)
An early Wednesday morning fire broke out at Apongbon market, causing panic among road users and motorists around the area in Lagos.
Thelagostimes gathered that many shops which were majorly constructed with planks were destroyed in the fire. The outbreak has also caused a gridlock on the Eko Bridge, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) announced via Twitter.
“Motorists who are yet to connect Eko Bridge are advised to use alternative routes such as Third-Mainland Bridge and Carter Bridge.
“Emergency Responding Agencies like Fire Service, LASEMA, LASTMA are all on ground”, the tweet reads.
Meanwhile, the federal and Lagos fire services are at the scene of the incident, trying to put out the fire.
