Many traders at the popular Balogun market in Lagos State were devastated following an early morning fire outbreak at the market.

The cause of fire is unknown at the time of filing this report.

Thelagostimes gathered that many traders selling clothes and bags were most hit.

While narrating the incident to Punch, one of the affected traders, Iya Akande, broke down in tears.

She lamented that some of them took loans to get goods ahead of Christmas and new year.

Asked to estimate the amount of goods burnt, she said, “millions”.
