BREAKING: Guinness World Records Announces Hilda Baci As New ‘Cook-a-thon’ Record Holder (VIDEO)
The Guinness World Records has announced a Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci as the new record holder for the longest cooking by an individual.
The GWR, in a statement on its website on Tuesday, said: “Following a thorough review of all the evidence, Guinness World Records can now confirm that Hilda Effiong Bassey, better known as Hilda Baci, has officially broken the record for the longest cooking marathon (individual), with a time of 93 hours 11 minutes.”
Thelagostimes recalls that Hilda had, last month, cooked for 100 hours non-stop, breaking India’s Lata Tondon’s 87 hours 45 minutes record of uninterrupted cooking in the process.
The record body had been verifying the entire process since then.
However, on Tuesday, GWR finally certified her as the new record holder for the longest cooking marathon (individual).
The GWR also posted a video on its verified Twitter handle with the caption, “After reviewing all the footage, we’re delighted to announce that Hilda Baci is the new record holder for the longest cooking marathon (individual).
