Buhari’s Campaign Leader Reacts To Planned Defection Of Ondo APC Members To PDP
Renowned human right lawyer and leader of ‘Forward With Buhari’, the independent campaign organization for President Buhari’s re-election, Barr. Kayode Ajulo has reacted to the planned defection of some members of the Ondo State House of Assembly from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Ajulo, in a statement signed by him, urged the Seven aggrieved lawmakers to stay in the Party for the sake of Nigeria, good governance and overlook the present discomfort and discountenance of their welfare by the government.
The campaign leader who disclosed that he’s in touch with the aggrieved legislators, called on spirited Nigerians and elders to dialogue with the legislators. He also assured that the constitution as recently amended guarantees their independence.
“For the love of Nigeria and the yearning of teaming Nigerians to re-elect Buhari, I urge them to hang on, as we are in touch with the party leadership and respected leaders to ensure their grievances are allayed.”
“The era of saying some people don’t matter has ended in Ondo State. we can’t afford to lose one member now, not to talk of Hon. Members representing their people. this is the time we are wooing members of another party to vote for Buhari, we therefore cannot afford to lose a single votes for President Buhari”, he said.
