COVID-19: Lagos Sets Up Testing Facilities In All LGAs, See Full list

Another COVID-19 Death Recorded In Lagos — A 63-Year-Old Man

The Lagos state government has created COVID-19 testing centres across the 20 local government areas (LGAs) in the state.

The state government announced the development on its official Twitter handle, on Sunday.

It said the idea behind creation of the testing sites across the LGAs was informed by the need to strengthen and increase the testing capacity in the state.

The government added that the centres were meant for those who had shown symptoms closely related to those exhibited by those battling COVID-19, stressing that visits to the facilities were strictly by appointments and not spontaneous ones.

It added that “visit to these centres is strictly by appointment and it’s not for emergency cases”.

“In order to increase COVID-19 testing capacity in Lagos, the State Government has set up sampling stations in the 20 local government areas, for citizens who fit the case definition of COVID-19, to visit and drop samples for testing,” the tweet read.
