Eid-el-Fitr: Police Deploy 10,000 Special Forces In Kaduna

The Kaduna Police Command has deployed 10,000 special forces in the state, ahead of the Eid-el-fitr celebration.

The state Command’s Public Relations Officer, Mohammad Jalige, in a statement in Kaduna on Saturday, assured residents of the state of a hitch-free Sallah celebration across the 23 Local Government Areas of the state.

According to him, the deployment is drawn from the conventional, logistics and tactical manpower of the Command, aimed at ensuring that the festivities are observed without issues.

Jalige added that the 10,000 police officers were to cover worship centres, critical national infrastructures, markets, social and recreational centers, major highways, and other public spaces during and after the Sallah period.

“The Command has guaranteed all that it has dominated public spaces and urged them to go about their lawful activities without fear of any intimidation or harassment from any quarter and to promptly report any suspicious object(s) or person(s) through the designated Command’s emergency contacts,” he said.
