Veteran actress and star of Fuji House of Commotion, Sola Onayiga has died.

The gap-toothed actress was popular for playing the role of ‘Ireti’ in the TV drama.

Thelagostimes gathered that the actress died in the early hours of Monday at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) where she had been admitted two weeks ago.

A family friend and film critic, Shaibu Husseini confirmed the sad news in an Instagram post.

“I have just been informed that the accomplished Stage and Screen Actress and Fellow of Theatre Arts Auntie Sola Awojobi Onayiga has passed on.

“Journey well, Ma! Journey Well!”, he wrote.
