Governor Sanwo-Olu Visits Lagos NYSC Orientation Camp, Promises Corps Members N100,000 Each
The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Tuesday, announced a gift of N100,000 for each 2024 Batch B, Stream 1 corps members posted to the state, and a sum of N100 million for the NYSC support staff.
The governor made the pledge while delivering his address as the special guest of honour at the NYSC Passing-Out Parade/Closing Ceremony for the 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream 1 Corps Members, at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Iyana Ipaja.
“A sum of N100,000 for each Youth Corper passing out today (to be delivered next week directly into their accounts),” his Senior Special Assistant on New Media, Jubril Gawat disclosed this on his X handle on Tuesday.
He added that the governor also donated a “sum of N5b for the construction of a new permanent site for the Lagos NYSC Camp” and offered “automatic employment into the Lagos Public Service for the best 100 corpers after the service year (for this batch)”.
Gawat added that during the visit, the governor equally donated a 32-seater Hyundai Bus which has already been delivered to the NYSC.

Meanwhile, in his address, the governor admonished the corps members to exemplify the lessons of discipline, perseverance, and teamwork imbibed during the three-week orientation course.
