Governorship election: Lagos Declares Holiday For Schools On Friday
The Lagos state government has declared Friday, March 8, public holiday for both public and private schools.
The announcement was made by the state’s ministry of education, which declared the public holiday in a statement to journalists.
The public holiday affects all public and private schools in the state and they are expected to close on Thursday, March 7, 2019, and resume on Monday, March 11, 2019.
According to the statement, the holiday is to ensure pupils are in their homes during the governorship election.
Hence, the government called on parents, teachers and the public to ensure that the instruction is adhered to.
