Gridlock At Lagos Airport Road As Students Protest Over ASUU Strike (VIDEO)
University students, on Monday, blocked a section of the road to the Murtala Muhammad International Airport in Lagos.
Thelagostimes gathered that the students blocked the road in protest over the seven-month industrial action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), causing a heavy gridlock on the road.
The spokesman for the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, told Channels Television that police officers have been deployed to the scene.
Recall that NANS members had earlier threatened to ground activities at the local and international airports across the country effective today as part of efforts to drive home their demand that the ASUU strike is called off.
