Gunmen Abduct Kwara Lawmaker’s Wife, Children
Some unknown gunmen, on Monday, abducted the wife and two children of a lawmaker in the Kwara State House of Assembly, Mr Lawal Ayanshola Soliu.
Punch Newspaper reports that the abductors stormed the country home of the legislator in Shao, in the Moro local government area of Kwara State around 1:00 am with AK-47 rifles, shooting sporadically before whisking the victims away.
Lawal is the legislator representing the Ipaiye/Malete/Olooru state constituency of Moro Local Government in the state house of assembly on the platform of the All Progressives Congress.
A source told the newspaper that the whereabouts of the victims have remained unknown as of Tuesday afternoon.
“One of the kidnappers who contacted the family said he was not yet with his colleagues in the forest to harmonise their price,” the source was quoted to have said.
