How Protesters Embarrassed, Molested Us – COZA Members Lament

Members of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) were on sunday, reportedly molested and embarrassed by some protesters who gathered outside the cburch.

Thelagostimes had reported yesterday that Nigerian international journalist, Kadaria Ahmed announced on Twitter that she will be organising a protest march to COZA church in Lagos in order to advocate for justice to prevail in the ongoing, trendy matter.

Recall that Busola Dakolo had on Friday narrated how Fatoyinbo allegedly raped her twice when she was 16. Fatoyinbo also responded, saying he’s never raped anyone before.

Since the interview went viral on social media, several Nigerians have continued to pour out their grievances at the church pastor, calling for his resignation while others have restated their trust in him.

However, a source told Thelagostimes that the Lagos branch of the church was filled with protesters on sunday morning.

The source who pleaded annonymity expressed disappointment at the turn of events. She disclosed that most of the protesters started harrassing members, especially the female members.

According to her, some of the protesters almost became violent at the church members who had gone for worship service.

Her words: “They really embarrassed us. Infact, I cried. After church, I was going out to catch up with my Uber, and the people protesting where outside with their cardboards and banners shouting ‘rape rape, aunty ode, and you are a woman, they will rape you too’.

“One of them even almost dipped his hand in my eyes. Even if they want to fight , they could go to his house to protest not the church or embarrassing people like that just because of where they choose to worship”.

Meanwhile, she disclosed that the service went on as usual. She however said the embattled pastor, Biodun Fatoyinbo urged members not to fight with any of the protesters but rather be peaceful with them.

In a video posted on twitter and sighted by Thelagostimes, pastor Fatoyinbo was seen admonishing his members not to fight but keep on praying for the church.
