Governor Aminu Tambuwal, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nigeria’s main opposition party, has been reelected governor of Sokoto state.

The PDP polled 512,002 votes in total to defeat the APC’s Ahmad Aliyu who got 511,661.

TheLagostimes gathered that the total result is a combination of the March 9 governorship election and the supplementary election conducted on Saturday, March 23 by the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC).
