JUST IN: INEC Shifts Kogi, Balyelsa Gov Polls 


The Independent National Electoral Commission on Thursday announced that the governorship elections in Kogi and Bayelsa States have been shifted to November 16.

TheLagostimes recalls that the polls were earlier slated for November 2.

Festus Okoye, INEC director of voter education and publicity, said in a statement that the change in date was as a result of various appeals for the commission to reschedule the polls.
