JUST IN: Timileyin Ajayi Pleads Not Guilty To Salome Adaidu’s Murder

Timileyin Ajayi, the suspected murderer of Salome Adaidu, has pleaded not guilty to the murder allegation.

Thelagostimes recalls that the Nasarawa State Police command had arrested him on January 12 and charged him to court for culpable homicide punishable with death.

According to the Police, the suspect pleaded not guilty to the killing of Salome Adaidu when he was arraigned before Justice Simeon Aboki at Court 2 in Lafia on Monday.

Timileyin is facing one count of culpable homicide, punishable by death, contrary to Section 221 of the Penal Code of Northern Nigeria.

The suspect was found in possession of the severed head of Salome Adaidu, a National Youth Service Corps, NYSC member.

He had admitted to the crime, claiming that he killed Adaidu after discovering she was cheating on him.

Meanwhile, the case has been adjourned from 17 to 20th March for trial.
