Barring any last minute changes, the Lagos sate government is set to prosecute Nollywood star, Funke Akindele for flouting the coronavirus lockdown order and also disregarding the preventive measures put in place.

Akindele who is popularly known as Jenifa was arrested yesterday by the police alongside music star, Azeez Fashola, popularly known as nairamarley

According to The Nation, Akindele will be charged before Ogba Magistrate Court 1 at about 11 a.m.

The prosecuting team will be from the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP).

Akindele on Saturday organised a house party to celebrate her husband JJC’s birthday at her residence in Amen Estate Ibeju-Lekki in Lagos

Some of the dignitaries that attended the party included; Naira Marley, Rasheed Gbadamosi, a former Lagos state governorship aspirant among others.

The Federal Government last week ordered a total lockdown for residents of Lagos, Abuja and Ogun States to curb the spread of COVID-19.
