Message’s Boss, Ifeanyi Okonkwo loses father…. a befitting burial in the offing
If popular City clothier and socialite Ifeanyi Okonkwo could wrap his loved ones in the robes of immortality, he would do so in a jiffy. Alas, it is a gift denied even him despite his trade. few weeks back he lost his father Pa Emmanuel Okonkwo to the cold hands of death.
The head honcho of Message, a leading fashion outfit in Lagos, has already kicked off the funeral activities with a Service of Songs at his Ajah, Lagos home last Saturday. Pa Emmanuel, who gave up the ghost in the United States of America, will be properly committed to Mother Earth with all the bells and whistles befitting a monarch.
A Christian Wake Keeping will take place on April 26, followed by the final burial/interment ceremony on April 27. Both programmes will take place at the family compound in Onwaneti Chambers, Amawbia, Anambra State.
High society have already signified their intention to storm the venue in honour of Ifenayi and his siblings. Ify, as the Messag boss is endearingly addressed, is already putting plans in place to throw a grand ceremony which will remain the talk of the town for a long time. He and his siblings are determined to honour their father, who lived to the ripe old age of 92, in a manner that reflects how much he meant to them.
