Moses speaks on what his future holds

Retired Super Eagles forward, Victor Moses, is having to endure time on the substitutes’ bench after the appointment of Italian manager, Maurizio Sarri in the summer. The almost ever-present under Antonio Conte has now played just nine minutes out of the 270 already accrued in the league.

But he seems not to be letting that inaction get him down after seating down for an interview with his club’s website, in which he revealed what he thinks he will be doing after retiring from active football.

And his choice is not too shocking – “maybe a property business or something along those lines,” he revealed.

He also spoke diplomatically on who is the best player in training this season. “Everyone has been good, everyone is working hard but I’d say Ross Barkley. He had a big injury but he’s started the season really well and he’s working his socks off.”

Barkley, who is partly Nigerian through his grandfather, has played in all three matches under Sarri, starting two on the bounce, while Moses has played a paltry nine minutes since the start of the season and has been classified as a winger in the new 4-4-2 system being implemented by Sarri.

He also revealed that he pairs up with Eden Hazard on away trips and watches a lot of TV. “I sit with Eden and we always have a laugh and crack jokes. While we’re away I watch a lot of Netflix. I like Peaky Blinders and Power.”

Moses has won the English Premier League, the FA Cup and the Europa League in his six seasons at the Bridge.
