Multiple Vehicle Accidents Cause Traffic Jam On Lagos-Ibadan Expressway (Video)
A multi-vehicle accident occurred early Friday morning on Kara Bridge inward OPIC along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, causing heavy traffic congestion in the axis.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) confirmed the incident in a statement shared on its official social media handle.
“An accident involving multiple vehicles was recorded on Kara Bridge, inward OPIC. Our personnel, along with other emergency responders, are currently on ground to rescue victims and clear the wreckage,” LASTMA stated.
According to the post, the severity of the crash, although not immediately detailed, was enough to impact traffic flow significantly, causing delays and long queues for motorists heading inward Lagos.
Meanwhile, LASTMA officials are reportedly still present, making efforts to clear backlog of traffic and ensure smooth traffic flow in the area.
