Nigeria Records 196 New COVID-19 Cases — 87 In Lagos
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Wednesday disclosed that the country has confirmed one hundred and ninety six new COVID-19 Case.
The agency made the disclosure in its daily situation report of COVID-19 on its official twitter.
The new cases exceeded the highest daily toll of the previous day which was 195.
According to the agency, of the 196 new cases, 87 are detected in Lagos, the epicenter of the disease, 24 in Kano, 18 in Gombe, 17 in Kaduna, 16 in FCT, 10 in Kastina, 8 in Sokoto, 7 in Edo, 6 in Borno, Adamawa and Ebonyi 1 each, Yobe also recorded it index case.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 1728, out of which 307 have been discharged and 51 deaths recorded.
