Nigeria has confirmed six new cases of the novel coronavirus, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has disclosed said.

The agency disclosed this in its daily situation report of COVID-19 on its official twitter page.

According to the agency, Kwara state joined the list of affected states with two cases. Edo has two cases while Rivers and Abuja have one case.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 238.
