Nigerians Storm Twitter, Condemn Alleged Murder Of Young Man By FSARS Officers
Following the alleged brutal killing of a football fan identified as Kolade Johnson by officers of the FSARS, Nigerians have taken to micro blogging site, Twitter to call for an abolition of the squad.
With a trending hashtag EndSARS, concerned Nigerians condemned the act and called on the president and incumbent Inspector General of Police to abolish SARS.
TheLagostimes gathered that Kolade Johnson was shot on sunday evening around Mangoro/Onipetesi area of Lagos state.
The incident reportedly occurred when an unmarked commercial bus visited the area in search of youths dressed wildly and rocking dreadlocks.
In an attempt to disperse a crowd which had gathered during the raid, one of the police operatives shot dead Johnson, who was trying to leave the scene after watching English Premier League match between Liverpool and Tottenham.
Narrating the incident, a witness, who gave his name as Ayo, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that everything happened in a flash.
The eyewitness said: “F-SARS had come to arrest one of the boys of a major music producer who wears dreads; I and some others who were drinking at a bar saw what was happening and quickly explained to the policemen that he was not a Yahoo boy.
“They ignored our talks and kept dragging the boy to their vehicle, we all came out from the bar and kept explaining to the policemen that they were arresting a wrong person.
“In an attempt to disperse the crowd, a first shot was fired to the ground.
“Seeing this, I and the others quickly turned back to avoid trouble, but because Kunle was probably the last person in the crowd, he was shot point-blank from behind.
“He didn’t even know he was shot till we had trekked some few metres before we all saw he was bleeding, he died on his way to the hospital at Ikeja”.

Kolade Johnson had plans for himself.
For his wife.
For his lovely baby.
For his entire family.
But men of underworld in police uniforms called SARS terminated all his plans.
May the God of justice judge them, may they reap what they've sown in Johnson's life. #ENDSARS NOW! pic.twitter.com/nyKLKLtzcZ— THAT MR STEPHEN (BLACK, A TRUMP ADDICT! ) (@MrStephenChidi1) April 1, 2019

Unfortunately not many know the difference between SARS and SACS/SAKS. I’m telling you authoritatively that SARS don’t do indiscriminate raids officially since the protocol review. If you see any, report them for armed robbery and kidnapping. It is illegal.
