Obasanjo’s Son Supports Buhari, Joins His Campaign Team
Despite his father’s endorsement of Atiku Abubakar for the number one seat in 2019, Olujonwo Obasanjo, son of former president Olusegun Obasanjo has joined President Muhammadu Buhari’s campaign team in Abuja.
Spokesperson for the President Muhammadu Buhari Campaign Organisation, Festus Keyamo, took to his Twitter account (@fkeyamo) to reveal that he received the former president’s son in Abuja.
“Obasanjo Joins Buhari’s Campaign Team: From Left – Alhaji Nasiru Danu (The Dan Amarna of Dutse & Director of Logistics, PMB Campaign Organisation), Olujonwo Obansanjo (son of OBJ) and my humble self as we officially received OBJ’s son at d PMB Campaign Headquarters today in Abuja”, his tweet reads.
In a letter of endorsement he wrote to the campaign organisation in September, Olujowon said the current administration has begun the process of laying a solid foundation for future generations and urged Nigerian youths to back Buhari for a second term in office.
He said, “The ingenuity of the current administration in proffering solutions is highly commendable. No human is perfect, no government is perfect, only the Creator of heaven and earth embodies perfection. We are on the right path and should not deviate. The youths of our great nation should join hands and support the progress and giant strides of President Buhari, he is working commendably to free us from past bondage and captivity.”
Recall that last week, Obasanjo endorsed his former vice president, Abubakar for the 2019 presidential elections which has been scheduled for February 16, 2019.
