Omisore is not fit to be councillor – Aregbesola
Osun State political space continues to hot up as the state political gladiators have been unsparing in their verbal attacks against one another.
Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Governor of the State of Osun has described his main challenger, Senator Iyiola Omisore as “a former prisoner” whose effort to unseat him would yield no results.
The governor, at the inauguration of 21 Road (26.31 kilometres) Projects constructed by his administration on Monday in Osogbo, said “God dethroned a General who fought in Monrovia, Mogadishu and in other war countries and now a former prisoner wants to unseat me. It is impossible”
“The General, who was sacked here was not a prisoner. It amuses me that a former prisoner, who went to the Senate from prison is now the one threatening to unseat me.
“He did not win. The poll was rigged because our fathers were peace loving, but they cannot try that now. If they attempt to rig, they will regret it. Let me tell you, there are some people who are not even qualified to contest any election, let alone think of winning. Don’t be afraid of them.
“He is not fit to be a councillor because he did not win his ward. He cannot contest and win.”
