Outrage On Twitter As Nigerians React To Court’s Dismissal Of Busola Dakolo’s Case
Following the court’s dismissal of Busola Dakolo’s case, Nigerians have taken to micro blogging site, Twitter to react.
Thelagostimes had earlier reported that a Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court sitting in Bwari dismissed the suit filed by photographer, Busola Dakolo, against the Senior Pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo.
The court also ordered Busola to pay N1million for wasting the court’s time.
Justice Oathman Musa, in his ruling on Thursday, had held that the matter amounts to injustice and an abuse of judicial process adding that the case is empty and purely sentimental.
However, this development has sparked a lot of reactions from Nigerians as the case is the top trending issue on twitter.
See some twitter reactions captured by Thelagostimes below:
So Busola Dakolo's case has been thrown out by a judge saying it's a case of cruelty and sentiment against Biodun Fatoyinbo. She's also going to pay him a fine of 1M.
Don't let me hear any "have you reported to the police ever again"

According to the court, Busola Dakolo wasted it’s time with her case and she should pay for the ‘’time wasting’’.
Don’t ask women to take up their rape cases legally or report to the police again. You can see how helpful that is.— M (@melody_hassan) November 14, 2019
Busola Dakolo, i am so sorry.
sorry that the church failed you, sorry that the system failed you, sorry that you are being punished for speaking your truth.i am sorry.

On Busola Dakolo and Biodun Fatoyinbo.
When the people cannot trust the nation's most fundamental institutions, an indefinite invitation to anarchy is on the table. This growing judicial erosion of public trust will spark a spike in how people take the law into their own hands.

How I wish this Busola Dakolo's story will not discourage victims of rape from coming out and reporting the perpetrators.
😔

I knew Busola Dakolo was going to lose the case because there wasn’t any evidence she was raped
But if Pastor Fatoyinbo truly raped her and the court didn’t favor Bisola because she had no evidence
God for sure will pass the final judgement because only him knows the truth.

Somebody out there has evidence against Fatoyinbo. Sooner or later it will come out. Doesn’t have to be from Busola Dakolo. She scattered the matter and that’s already significant work. Thanks for the sacrifice.
