Oyo Governor, Seyi Makinde, Recovers From Coronavirus — Tests Negative
Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde, has recovered from the virulent infection called coronavirus.
The governor had announced last week that he had tested positive for the disease, causing panic among the residents of the state.
In a series of tweets on his official twitterpage on Sunday, the governor announced that he had recovered from the infection, saying the two round of tests conducted on him returned negative.
He expressed his gratitude to everyone for their support and love. He also thanked the state’s COVID-19 Taskforce for their diligence and steadfastness.
The governor said he would resume back to office tomorrow.
I am deeply moved by your prayers and support throughout this period. I am so thankful. This evening, I received my second negative test result for COVID-19. I especially thank Prof Temitope Alonge, who acted in my stead as Head of the Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force. pic.twitter.com/p0Tn1iH0H1
