Following the rapid rise in the theft of ladies’ panties and used sanitary pads, the Nigeria Police will now charge culprits with attempted murder.

Zonal Police Public Relations Officer (ZPPRO), CSP Dolapo Badmos, said this at the weekend on her Instagram page.

Recall that Thelagostimes reported some days back that a 60 year old man was caught and subsequently arrested for being in possession of ladies’ panties and used sanitary pads.

Reacting, the police said most confessions by suspects confirm that the items are being used for ritual purposes.

According to the security agency, such will henceforth be treated as serious cases while those apprehended will be charged for attempted murder.

“What is the in thing about about the increase in stealing of underpants! Learnt the ones caught in the act always confess to using it for rituals whereof the owner die prematurely.

“Henceforth, anyone caught stealing pants might not be charged for stealing but attempted murder. This has to stop”, she wrote.
