PDP Wins Adamawa Governorship Election
The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ahmadu Fintiri has emerged winner of the Adamawa supplementary election.
TheLagostimes reports that the state governorship election was concluded late Thursday, March 28, with the PDP candidate defeating the incumbent governor, Mohammed Bindow.
Vanguard reports that at the end of the announcement of results from the supplementary election, the PDP polled 10,480 votes while APC secured 1391 votes.
The PDP scored 150 votes while arch opponent, the All Progressives Congress (APC) had 68 votes at the polling unit 008.
Also, at the polling unit 007, the PDP polled a whopping 185 votes, to beat the APC which secured 60 votes.
TheLagostimes recalls that before the March 9 election was declared inconclusive, Fintiri, a former acting governor of the state, already polled 367,471 votes, while Bindow scored 334,995 votes, put the former with a leading votes of 32,476.
