News President Buhari Appoints New NAN MD, Eight Others Ayomide Ayano August 26, 2020 President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointments of chief executive officers for nine government agencies under the supervision of the Ministry of Information and Culture. President Muhammadu Buhari The appointments include those of Mr Buki Ponle as the Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria; Prof Sunday Ododo as General Manager/CEO, National Theatre; and Mr Francis Nwosu as the Executive Secretary, Nigerian Press Council. The Special Assistant to the President (Media), Office of the Minister of Information and Culture, Segun Adeyemi, disclosed the appointments in a statement in Abuja. President Buhari also appointed Mr. Ebeten William Ivara, Director General, National Gallery of Arts and Mr. Olalekan Fadolapo, Registrar/Chief Executive Officer of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria. Others appointed by President Buhari include Mr. Ado Mohammed Yahuza, Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer, National Institute for Cultural Orientation; Prof. Aba Isa Tijjani, Director General, National Commission for Museums and Monuments and Mrs Oluwabunmi Ayobami Amao, Director General, Centre For Black And African Arts And Civilization. “The appointments take effect from 1 Sept. 2020,” Adeyemi said.
