President Buhari Appoints New NECO Chairman
President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Professor Godswill Obioma as the new Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the National Examinations Council (NECO).
Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu announced the appointment on Friday.
Also confirming thus in a statement, the head of Information and Public Relations Division, Azeez Sani stated that Prof. Obioma officially took over the affairs of the Council from the former Acting Registrar, Abubakar Gana on Friday at the Council’s headquarters in Minna.
Obioma replaces Prof. Charles Uwakwe, who was dismissed from office alongside four other management staff over alleged unsatisfactory conduct.
Until his appointment as Registrar/CEO, Obioma was a Professor of Education Measurement and Evaluation.
