Sowore Finally Released From DSS’ Custody

The Department of State Services (DSS) has released the convener of RevolutionNow Movement, Omoyele Sowore, from its custody.

Thelagostimes gathered that Sowore was released on Tuesday evening following an order to the DSS by Nigeria’s Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN)

Malami, in a statement, said the decision to release them was in compliance with the bail granted the duo by the Federal High Court.

Thelagostimes recalls that Sowore had been in the secret police custody since August 3 after being arrested over a nationwide protest he called for.

He was released temporarily on December 5 after 124 days in custody but rearrested at a Federal High Court in Abuja less than 24 hours after.
