Two INEC Offices Set Ablaze In Ebonyi State
Two offices of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ebonyi state have been set ablaze by unidentified hoodlums.
The electoral body which shared details of the incident on its official Twitter handle on Wednesday morning explained that the affected buildings are in Izzi, Ebonyi, and Ezza North local government areas of the state.
“Last night, Tuesday 18th May 2021, two INEC offices in Ebonyi and Ezza North Local Government Areas of Ebonyi State were burnt down by unidentified persons,” INEC tweeted.

INEC’s spokesman in Ebonyi State, Ali Sunday noted although no person was injured during the attack which took place on Tuesday night, sensitive materials were burnt.
According to reports, the attack came barely a few hours before top INEC officials and heads of security agencies are expected to meet over the numerous attacks on the Commission.
