Following the recent killings of Nigerians, as well as destruction of properties by South Africans, the Nigerian Government has finally summoned the High Commissioner of South Africa, Bobby Moroe.
The meeting has been scheduled to hold between the duo by 11 am on Tuesday, Daily Post reports.
A senior official of the ministry, Kimiebi Ebenfa, confirmed the development, saying: “I am directed to inform you that the Minister of Foreign Affairs has summoned the High Commissioner of South Africa for a meeting this morning by 11. The meeting was confirmed a few minutes ago.”
The envoy was expected to meet with the minister by 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Nigerians have taken to micro blogging site, Twitter to show their grievances at the South African government, while others called on the Nigerian government to protect her citizens.

I condemn in the strongest possible terms the repeated violent attacks against Nigerians in South Africa. The Federal Government must immediately liaise with the South African authorities to protect the lives and livelihoods of all our citizens.#SayNoToXenophobia

We're trying to remind you S.Africans who are killing your own kind, burning your own kind without fear. It really hurts to see the country which has been helped by its fellow nations for independence, today are trying to kill the same people.God will repay you#SayNoToXenophobia pic.twitter.com/u320nzNHil
