Top Nigerian professionals in
media, medicine, law, aviation, engineering and other fields have joined the fray of the country’s political landscape, to discuss the state of the nation, as the 2019 general elections draw closer.

The group, under the umbrella of Nigeria First Professionals, (NFP) said its aim was to lend it’s voice to the 2019 electoral processes, thereby, contributing to the imminent turn-around of Africa’s most populous nation.

According to a member of the group, Mr. Sola Fajobi, it had become imperative for true proffessionals to take active part in determining how their country was being run, and move away from the docile disposition of the past.

Mr. Fajobi further said it would be incumbent on Nigerians to take a critical look at the resources available to politicians and public officials, and what they’ve either done with it, or what they’re able to do with it.

He added that the NFP group would assess the issues on ground, consider results, and establish the yearning of Nigerians in order to determine which candidates can best deliver them, and then help the electorate make informed decisions.

In the same vein, another member of the group, Mr. Andy Akporugo, noted that, the need to facilitate good governance should be very dear to every discerning professional, especially as Nigeria was overdue for being counted amongst the world’s most remarkable countries.
