A lawmaker in the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Hon. Musa Mante, is dead.
According to The Punch, Mante was killed by gunmen on Thursday night at his residence in the Dass Local Government Area.
It was also learnt that the wife of the late lawmaker, who represented Baraza Dass Constituency in the House, was also kidnapped by the gunmen.
Confirming the incident, police public relations officer, Bauchi State Police Command, DSP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil said two of his wives and a son were kidnapped by the gunmen.
